The WDC 65816 CPU is a 40 pin DIP processor commonly found in the Apple IIgs.
The CPU is fully tested and guarantied to run at 4 MHz or better, however the IIgs can only operate at a maximum speed of about 2.6 MHz. This is a perfect replacement CPU for your IIgs.
