New Store Items – Universal Enclosure PSU and the CFFA3000

We’re glad to announce a couple new item in the ReActiveMicro Store:
The Universal Enclosure PSU, and the CFFA3000 v1.0 Rev C-RM from R&D Automation and designed by Richard Dreher.

The Universal Enclosure PSU is a new take on the PSU enclosure for the Apple II. The project is a combination of the Universal Enclosure, the Universal PSU, and a DC Output Cable of your choice – II/+/e, IIgs, or Universal (both). LED Voltage meters, and fans for active cooling are options if so desired. The Universal Enclosure PSU with the Universal DC Output Cable is a great bench top power supply option for working on all your Apple II systems.

The Universal Enclosure PSU is offered as a kit or assembled, and comes with the Universal PSU standard. The kit version is a low cost, simple to assemble option. The assembled option is a good choice for those who desire a fully tested, ready to use out of the box, plug-and-play solution.

Both Chris Torrence and Joe Strosnider just released a review and detailed build video of the Universal Enclosure PSU project. They both show off the features as well as the options available and how they all fit in your Apple of choice.

Go checkout their channels if you haven’t already. Lots of amazing information and they both are great at what they do. They also were first to announce the CFFA return in their videos. Big thanks to them for their service to the Community!

The Universal Enclosure PSU comes in kit form starting at $85, or fully assembled and tested starting at $100. Orders ship in about a week when stock arrives.

The real star of the show however is the return announcement of the CFFA3000 from R&D Automation. ReActiveMicro is an authorized dealer and partner with the R&D Automation in an effort to help bring more great products to the Apple II Community. If we back another vendor’s product you know it’s of the highest quality and can be trusted.

The CFFA3000 v1.0 Rev C-RM Controller is a Mass Storage Device and Floppy Emulator that once installed in your Apple II system acts like a solid-state Hard Drive using Compact Flash Cards and USB Flash Drives. Floppy Emulation allows users to load .PO images as if they were physical disk. See the manual for more details. There is also discussion about adding .WOZ support, and we will post updates if/when it happens.

The CFFA3000 v1.0 Rev C-RM comes as pictures with 512 Meg preloaded CF Card, and with the Remote option standard (not pictured). Order will ship in about 2 weeks when stock arrives.

And big thanks to Richard Dreher for allowing us to help bring this new run of cards to the Community and to help squash the price gouging going on at eBay!
