This is a Battery Pack for the ROM0/1 IIgs.  It uses three (3) standard AAA batteries which will last for years.  As you may know the 'standard' battery for the ROM0/1 IIgs is soldered to the Motherboard.  Unless you are well skilled at desoldering or have the right equipment then you might want to consider our Battery Pack.  An excellent way to save money using inexpensive AAA batteries instead of the expensive original 1/2AA battery, and MUCH easier to change in the future!

Using a simple wire snip and small needle-nose pliers one can install the Battery Pack in about 2 minutes.  No soldering or risk of damage to your Motherboard either!  Just cut the axial leads as close to the old battery as possible, straighten the leads, insert the Battery Pack connectors on to the leads and you're done!

Note: Batteries not included.  Battery polarity is clearly marked in the Batter Caddy and must be followed if the computer settings are to be backed up.  Installing the batteries incorrectly will not hurt the computer but your settings will not be saved once the system is powered off.
